Hi everyone :) I wanted to just do a quick blog of my top 10 makeup products, and why I love them. Hope you enjoy, and please tell me what you think!
1. Estee Lauder double wear foundation.
This is by far my favorite everyday foundation. I love the all day wear that i get out of it. I can go from 8am to 8pm and never have to touch it up once! It has medium/full coverage depending on how you apply it, and it makes your skin look flawless.The only downside is that in pictures it doesn't look the best because of the spf 10 that's in it, it tends to make your face look whiter than your body when the flash hits. So anytime your planning on having pics taken, i would suggest using something else. For those occasions, i like the Makeup Forever HD foundation.
2.Revlon colorstay eyeliner.
I use this eyeliner every single day. It makes a perfect line, and has a built in sharpener on the end of it, always a plus!It lasts through heat, humidity, sweating, just about everything! It doesn't smudge through out the day at all, and it's a very dark black color. It's supposed to last 16 hours but i don't think i have ever kept my makeup on that long before, so i'm not sure if that's true or not, but i could totally see that being the case. It's wonderful for the waterline because it's waterproof as well. If your going for a smudgy type eye look, i would recommend Mac's smolder eye kohl instead.
3.Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
This bronzer, is one of the best out there. It's matte, so it's perfect for contouring, and it gives such a natural color and finish. It also can be layered for even more color, without ever looking orange. I'm in love! I used to use Benefit's Hoola Bronzer, and thought that was pretty good, but in my opinion Too Faced is so much better, and plus it smells just like chocolate! The only downer I can think of is, it makes me want a Hershey's bar everytime i use it! lol.
4.Make Up For Ever HD microfinish powder
This is a great finishing powder. It does not give a white cast, makes my pores invisible, and gives an airbrushed finish. You only need just a little bit, so it last's a long time. It's got a nice silky texture when applied, and feels nice on the skin, not heavy at all. I wouldn't say it gives a lot of extra coverage, it's just a nice powder to set your makeup with, and it help's give your foundation a finished look.
5.Urban Decay's Naked palette
Yes, i am jumping on the bandwagon with this one. I absolutely am in love with this palette. I use it almost everyday. The colors are just perfect for all kinds of looks. They're very pigmented, and all of them blend together so well. It's perfect for travel because it can take you from day to night in one handy little palette! I'm going to go buy another one very soon, because i'm afraid of hitting pan!
6.L'oreal colour riche lipstick in 800 fairest nude
This is by far the perfect pinky nude. I heard about this from one of my favorite beauty guru's Sccastaneda's on Youtube. She spoke so highly of it, that I just had to go out and try it. I'm so glad i did because it's just the perfect nude color for me. It's silky in texture, highly pigmented, and has a nice natural sheen to it. I wear this color almost everyday, it looks like my natural lip color but way better.
7.Cover Girl Eye Enhancers 1 kit eye shadow in Champagne
I mainly use this eye shadow in the inner corners of my eyes, and sometimes under my eyebrows. It's a very light pearl shade with a lot of shimmer. I've used this color for over 10 years now, and don't think i will ever find a better highlighting shade for my eyes. You can even use it on your cheekbones with a fan brush and a light hand.
8.Lancome Defincils Pro mascara
I love this mascara, it's brush is curved which is great for holding a curl and getting to every lash. It seperates all my lashes and gives a bunch of length and volume. It doesn't flake, or run, or make my eyes sting like some other mascara's have in the past. I also wear contact lenses and it doesn't bother them at all. I do pair it with Cover Girls lash bast for extra volume, and they pair together very well.
9.Bobbi Brown Blush in Nectar
This is my favorite blush. I own a lot of very nice blushes, but i always come back to this one.It's a gorgeous pinky-coral color without any shimmer. It lasts all day either over foundation or bare skin. A little goes a long way--you don't need much to get a pretty light flush. I think it also looks really good paired with a bronzer.
10.Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Beige
I am absolutely in love with this product! It has such a natural dewy shimmer to it without all the glitter that you tend to see in other highlighters. It looks so pretty in pictures, sunlight, everything! I use it as eyeshadow sometimes too. It's the perfect natural highlight for the cheekbones, cupid's bow and under the brows. This is only the second shimmer brick i have ever had to purchase because It last's for years! It's definitely worth the price, and i highly recommend it.
